Team Ghenghis Can't

Welcome to the webpage of Team Ghenghis Can’t, a fine example of the madness and danger that is the MONGOLIA RALLY!

The Mongolia Charity Rally is a pan-continental drive across five mountain ranges, two deserts and more barren and inhospitable lands than you care to shake a gear-stick at. Starting in London, the final destination is the capital of Mongolia, Ulaan Baatar. The rally is organised by the great guys at Go Help, a UK charity set up and staffed by unpaid trustees.

We’ve put a team together to take part in the Rally, starting 5 July 2008. The objective of the Rally is to drive a vehicle to Mongolia and then donate it to a Mongolian charity.

In addition to this vehicle donation, a minimum of £1000 will be raised for ‘Save the Children’, the ‘Cambridge Mongolian Disaster Appeal’ (CAMDA), and the ‘Children’s Development Protection Fund’ (CDPF). All money raised will go towards vital projects and the prevention of poverty within Mongolia.

The route will take us through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. We’ll be on the road for around 3 weeks, covering 8000 miles.
